A patient support worker welcomes you without an appointment. Here you will find a place where your needs will be heard, and you will find medical information and advice on how to improve your daily life. The space is also accessible to patients’ loved ones

INFORM, MEET, EXCHANGE

A place for meetings and exchanges

A patient support worker meets visitors in a neutral space, outside the care services, and where they can discuss openly in a friendly environment, in complete confidentiality. He/she is a non-medical professional, trained in the different aspects of cancer pathology and available to respond to your needs.

The visitor can discuss issues that concern him/her and ask general questions that the disease raises. On request, the patient can go over general information or vocabulary requiring clarification with the patient support worker. The patient support worker can direct visitors to competent professionals and patient support associations

A place of information

Scientifically validated information for the general public and Internet access are available free of charge or can be consulted on site. The visitor will find information on different types of cancer, and their prevention, screening and treatments, but also on the social aspects that the disease can cause.

The first ERI® was created in March 2001. To date, 35 meeting and information spaces (ERI®) have been certified in Centers for the Fight Against Cancer or in public or private healthcare institutions. This initiative was made possible through an original partnership between the National League against Cancer, Sanofi and the Gustave Roussy Institute.

The Antoine Lacassagne Center’s ERI® is currently the only ERI® in Alpes-Maritimes.
